Transition

Autumn Fire

Summer is folding her green sheets

Red stain weeps through to autumn

Cleansing a laundry of episodes:

Swimming in crystals

Orange blazed woods

Tanned melancholy

Trails of permanent wilderness

I go inside to reflect like forest ponds

Embracing cracks in the sunlight

A little red fox saunters by

Squirrels race passing cars to suicide

A prelude to winter when plants and people die

Fall 2008
